CEO is pivoting to AI meme

Innovation trends in AI coming this new year

Interesting Trends I’m Observing

The new year will see a wave of changes take place in business, e-commerce and engineering. The rate at which change is taking place right now is insane.

Basically what I see in big tech right now is everyone is pivoting to AI. They know its a cash cow and they all want to get onboard. Why I am horrified at this because I know big tech is all about bottom lines, P&L’s and looking good for the investors.

Ive added at the bottom of this page a view I have of how businesses will change once they fully understand what an AI Agent is and how an Agent workforce will impact their businesses. This is my guess and I believe its as educated a guess as any who claims to be deep in the AI space can make.

Emerging trends I am seeing:

  1. Superfast Prototyping
    • With no code AI powered platforms like V0 (Vercel), Bolt, Loveable, Cursor and Replit Agent every product manager, every marketer and every new developer can knock out a prototype in minutes.
    • Using plain English natural language to ask for what you want while the AI builds or designs it for you makes it very easy for a concept to become tangible.
    • I found this amazing architecture company that creates modern designs of the ancient Greek and Roman building sculptures this year and was blown away by their use of AI, take a look for yourself.
  2. AI Agents and Agentic workflows
    • Autonomous workers who don’t eat, sleep or take holidays and can think for themselves (to a degree) will power the next wave of startups.
    • Pick a task lane that you need work completed on and assign an AI Agent to complete that work, you can even string together chains of AI Agents to make complete A to Z workflows possible with no human workers thanks to platforms like Crew AI and others.
  3. Co-Pilot Assistants
    • These have started rolling out to more platforms every month this last year, and they are helpful. They are for the now a button or idle chat buddy that works side by side with you helping with suggestions, and recommendations and flagging errors in your work.
    • These Co-Pilots also work on your behalf if you want them to with tools like Cursor, Scalenut, GitHub, and many more giving you some more time back while the AI does the grunt work for you.
  4. AI-Powered Mini CFOs and Crypto Investors
    • I’m hearing a lot of chatter and interest in crypto trading AI workers who can be assigned a trading wallet, some rules and funds and set out to build a portfolio. They are trained to buy low and sell high and accumulate wealth while avoiding risk. I expect this space to really set on fire this coming year.
    • My buddies at Crossmint.io have been busy creating autonomous AI trader bots that can act on your behalf and build your crypto portfolio for you.
    • Im seeing this also gather steam on investment platforms as well, previously Ive had to use Upwork or Fiver devs to build these autonomous traders but the new products are all no code simple to use AI traders.
    • Watch this space.
  5. Better AI Writing & Content Creation
    • We have all used an AI or GPT to write an article or email or write something. This year I expect to see the level of detail, authority, and readability increase dramatically.
    • Software like Cuppa are ahead of the pack taking key trainings direct from Google search algorithm handbook and inserting them into the AI learning to create articles that rank better in Google and show on page 1 of search results
    • I say this and in the same breath I would say that expect the SEO crowd to build tools that help their articles get picked dup by Perplexity search and Perplexity Shop.
  6. Combined Storytelling and Avatar Opportunities
    • I see more and more avatars online now more so than ever, thanks to Ready Player Me and the likes of avatar first companies people can suit up and be who ever they want to be. Now the interesting thing is adding AI to these avatars allows the avatar to then become alive to follow, subscribe to other accounts, and personalities and interact as you would.
    • The ability for everyone to produce Disney-level animations from their bedroom, allows everyday people to create creative tales previously limited to large studios.
    • This compelled with any goals that you feed into the avatar AI will influence your social media engagements if you create content your storytelling would follow a theme, your videos would be relevant, images closely knit themed to your storytelling goals and a new world of possibilities becomes unlocked as a personal brand or an anon avatar.
    • Im watching this space closely, fortunes are being made right now without people putting their real faces to the accounts and its amazing to see unfold.
    • The creator economy is still here to stay and its making people rich.
  7. The HUB AI -> A AI Brain on your computer
    • Not limited to one task one focus, instead an AI that’s mounted to your computer and can help you organise and access files, folders, and yourself. Think Jarvis from the Ironman movies but on your computer
    • The first iteration will be a primitive Jarvis who can task and multi-task, the second will add more thinking and connectivity and the third should be more Jarvis-like with dialogue and more memory and storage of key things personalized to you
  8. Gaming Development Embraces AI
    • At first there was some standoff towards using AI but its clear that AI will speed up the development of big-budget games with no question. I’m looking forward to seeing what GTA 6 does with AI in development. That will set the tone for other studios IF they are not using AI already.
    • Games that have AI in them now are pretty average, its a craft finding the balance of AI needed for different players types –> novice vs expert. I found this out on the soccer app World League Soccer Live read my review here.
    • They have been layoffs, but there have been innovations and new roles created.

That my list of trends I am watching in the AI space for this coming year, There are always more but those are ones I think will get the most news and momentum this coming year.

How Businesses Might Change Thanks to AI

How I believe business will start to look once Agent AI workforces are more widely understood

Basic ai agent business connectivity

How does this actually work though? and what does each part really do?
Great questions. The processes must first be created and feed into the AI agent for them to be learned. This is the start of the cycle. Once the processes are learned they can be distributed.

See below how there are “manager AIs”, these will manage the other task-orientated Agents. They will brief them, guide them and monitor their work before giving the ok to publish the work. Like any manager, they check their employee’s work before giving approvals. The same happens in this scenario.

extended how businesses with AI Agent workforces will operate

The businesses that catch on and start embedding AI Agents into their workforce will quickly see how efficient the agents are and the savings that they will make. This will lead to drastic changes to their workforce and a huge reliance on artificial intelligence workers as shown above.

This is iteration 0.1. I expect this changes as more people join the movement and innovation will follow.

Have I missed any trends? let me know and I can rewrite and add your inputs. Thanks for reading and entertaining my wild vision for how businesses might look in the coming year(s).
