If you enjoy manager-type games where all you need to do is kit out your squad, select match types and the occasional ability upgrade then this FIFA World Cup AI League is for you.

With FC Mobile releasing last week and building hype I thought Id take a look around at other football games and see what else was out there. I have heard of FutureVerse the developers on another project so it was great to search and find another one of their games.
I found the graphics and game screens quite enjoyable. The characters are detailed and there appears to be enough customisation to keep you busy. Mechanics are quite simple and its a nice experience once you get signed in.
Navigation wise you have a couple of key areas to play in:
- Daily Rewards (Locked until you reach x level)
- Store
- Club Room (Where most of the customisation happens)
- News & Alerts
- Open League
- Challenge Arena (Locked by default)
- Season (Locked by default)
You are confined to a specific route until you level up or buy your way to that specific point. I always feel that when the virtual store if the first navigation item there’s a real urge to push you to pay to play. I didn’t purchase anything in this game I didn’t feel like it was a must-have considering the AI is doing the playing in-game.
For me, the gameplay where I have to sit on the bench is not engaging enough to keep me hooked for longer than a day. I did enjoy the customisation of the players and it looks a lot of fun. I can see how they tied the wearables to the World Cup in Qatar in late 2022, actually a great play on their side.
